Frontiers - Adventures in Learning

Frontiers Family Camps

For many of us, life is lived at such a pace that it can be difficult to have the time we want with our family. Frontiers Family Camps provide a place for families to have fun in nature together.

Our camps are an experience for the whole family that opens our senses to the wonders of the natural world, offering opportunities to reconnect safely together and with our environment.

Some features of our family camps:

  • Brings children, parents and grandparents closer to nature and to each other
  • Experience traditional living, cooking on the campfire & getting back to nature
  • A selection of Wild Days activities are included
  • We include arts, crafts & games for all to learn & create together
Forthcoming Family Camps:

Sorry, there are currently no family camps scheduled. Please have a look at our Wild Days to see if there is anything that interests you.

What do you need to bring?

The usual camping kit like tents and sleeping bags, plus cooking equipment if you have any. There are compost toilets, wonderful woodburning showers to experience, and the sun will act as a wilderness hair dryer!

We will provide a great breakfast of fruit, cereal, toast and spreads, but it's over to you to provide food and water for your tribe the rest of the time. (There is a Local supermarket and other shops five minutes away).

On the last night we will have a communal feast to bring us together to celebrate and share. Our intention is to create a camp with you, that provides the perfect place to learn new skills; establish a deeper connection with nature beyond your current experience; meet like minded people, relax; let the children off their leashes in a safe place; enjoy ourselves; eat great food and when it's time to leave, feel that you have had a really great time together.
